Rescuers in Pakistan call off efforts to save Polish climberISLAMABAD (AP) — Volunteers rescued a French mountaineer from a Himalayan peak but called off efforts to retrieve a Polish climber who was declared dead after the dramatic and treacherous rescue effort.
