'Slug'-sized growths removed from nose of woman suffering from breathing issues
Julia Khalil, who suffered breathing issues her whole life, was shocked when growths 'the size of large slugs' were removed from her nostrils by surgeons in the U.K. Khalil was diagnosed with enlarged turbinates, which are normally small-sized structures that cleanse and humidify the air that passes through the nostrils into the lungs. After the growths were removed, Khalil said her quality of life has improved immensely.
